With breathtaking ambiance, stunning interior design and award-winning cuisine, Equus is the Zagat-rated winner of Five Stars by The American Academy of Hospitality Sciences (AAHS).  Equus features unique and creative Auberge-style natural French cuisine based on locally sourced ingredients presented with innovative seasonal menus.  A distinctive gourmet experience is consistently presented in three unique dining rooms, rich in distinct character, decor and atmosphere. Dining options include our celebrated seasonal Prix Fixe Tasting Menus and the carefully designed a la Carte offerings.   A full array of creative and seductive desserts is always available.

The Garden Room has exquisite views of the lush gardens, the historic Hudson River Valley, and the majestic Manhattan skyline.  The Oak Room, with its rich wood panel accoutrements first owned by Louis XIV, was brought intact to New York when the Castle was first built a century ago and the popular Library features rich Mahogany bookcases and a dramatic paneled ceiling in Neo-Classical style which adds to the room’s old-world beauty and charm.

The General's Bar and Tapestry Lounge are great places to relax, socialize and enjoy your favorite libation or a light meal. The spectacular outdoor seasonal Terrace and Pool Grotto Bar is an inviting setting for romantic dining and cocktails.

Business casual attire is appropriate in Equus.

Equus is designed to provide a complete dining experience that includes superb cuisine, attentive service and celebrated ambiance for discerning adult guests.  To maintain this atmosphere, we do not offer children's menus or portions as it is difficult for young children to enjoy the experience. 

Hours of Operation
  • Breakfast is served daily from 8:00am-10:00am.
  • Lunch is served Mon - Sat, from 12 Noon -2:00pm.
  • Dinner is also served daily from 5:30pm-9:30pm.
  • Sunday Brunch from 11:30am-2:30pm
